Warm memories for a colder season

“Helsinki in August, swimwear in November… what’s wrong with you?” some may ask. Well, seasons ain’t what they used to be anymore. Or maybe, the climate changes have been messing around with my head as well 😛 

The thing is, I had been wanting to do a swimwear shoot by myself for a quite a while and during several conversations with the stylist and producer Lúcia Valdevino, I knew she was into it as well. But then again, the usual happened - life takes its natural course and we never seemed to find the right timing to do it. 

Until I got a message from Lulu (you might remember her from this editorial we did), telling me she was in Lisbon for a few weeks. This just sounded like the perfect sign that it was time to put things in motion.

Lúcia did what she does best, the make up artist Marta Matias joined us to add that natural beauty look we wanted and then, our muse, Lulu… just being herself 🙂 it was the third time I shot her and I just love the fact that she always seems to bring something different to each shooting!

The end result is what you can see bellow. Hope you enjoy it and that these images will keep you warm until the next Summer 🙂

“Helsínquia em Agosto, fatos de banho em Novembro… que raio?” devem alguns estar a pensar. Bem, as estações já não são o que eram. Ou então, são as alterações climáticas que andam a baralhar-me o sistema 😛 

A questão é que há já algum tempo que queria fazer uma sessão de swimwear por mim próprio, e entre várias conversas com a stylist e produtora Lúcia Valdevino, percebi que ela também estava interessada na ideia. Mas depois, aconteceu o habitual - a vida segue o seu curso natural e parece que o timing para executar as ideias nunca é o oportuno.

Até que recebi uma mensagem da Lulu (talvez se lembrem dela deste editorial), a dizer-me que estava em Lisboa durante uma semanas. E pronto, parece que isto foi o sinal que precisava para pôr as coisas em prática.

A Lúcia fez o que sabe fazer melhor, a maquilhadora Marta Matias juntou-se a nós para dar fazer aquela maquilhagem natural imaculada e depois, a nossa musa, Lulu… a ser ela própria 🙂 foi a terceira vez que a fotografei e adoro o facto de ela parecer que consegue trazer sempre algo de diferente para cada shooting.

O resultado final é o que podem ver em cima. Espero que gostem das imagens e que vos traga um quentinho até ao próximo Verão 🙂
