Ukrainian freckles

Most of the times, I write here on the blog not caring much about the posts' reach. Which means, I don’t even know if the really useful posts, with tips from professionals and experienced people, are read by the ones who could benefit from it.

Remember that series of 6 posts with tips for models? (revisit them here) Well, at least one person read them (actually, google analytics tells me that those posts have been visited more than a 1000 times), but the big question is… how many people have actually used those tips?

Well, I recently did a test shoot with Anastasiya, a new face without that much experience, but who understood those tips.

She’s obviously a beautiful girl, but her lack of experience could be an handicap. However, she brought up her humbleness, curiosity and will to try and try, until results showed up.

Anastasiya knew her lovely green eyes and her sweet freckles wouldn’t be enough, though, truth be told, that’s how she got my attention. Being aware of that, she tried all sorts of poses, from classic, to more editorial, to natural looking and even to more sports/athletic ones (and no, she’s not a ballerina nor a gymnastic).

By the end of the shooting we were both happy with the results and I was even more happy, knowing that what I write here, can actually be helpful to other people 😃

A maioria das vezes, escrevo aqui no blog sem estar preocupado com o alcance dos posts. Ou seja, a maioria das vezes, nem sei se aqueles posts que são supostamente úteis, baseados nas opiniões e experiência de profissionais das respectivas áreas, chegam a quem poderia de facto beneficiar dessas dicas.

Lembram-se daquela série de 6 posts com dicas para modelos? (podem reler aqui) Pois bem, agora sei que pelo menos uma pessoa os leu (bom, o google analytics diz-me que esses posts já ultrapassaram as 1000 visitas), mas a questão é… quantas pessoas levaram a sério o que foi escrito?

Há umas semanas, fiz um test shoot com a Anastasiya, uma new face sem grande experiência, mas que leu e incorporou essas dicas.

É claro que ela é uma rapariga bonita, mas a falta de experiência, poderia ser uma limitação. Mas, pegando na sua humildade, curiosidade e vontade de experimentar e testar, conseguiu os resultados que queria!

A Anastasiya sabia que os adoráveis olhos verdes e as sardas bonitas não seriam suficientes, embora, verdade seja dita, foi isso que me chamou a atenção nela. Mas como dizia, sabendo que isso não era suficiente, ela quis experimentar de tudo um pouco… desde as “clássicas”, a outras mais editoriais, ao registo natural e até mesmo o mais atlético (e não, ela não é bailarina nem ginasta).

No final da sessão, ficámos os dois satisfeitos com os resultados e eu ainda mais, por saber que aquilo que vou escrevendo e fazendo aqui para o blog, tem de facto utilidade 😃
