With social media, it’s rather easy to find women/models willing to pose for you, but finding people who understand the concept of this series or have a similar vision of female’s beauty and body, is a different matter.

I feel that, since I started shooting this series, I already learned more about the female universe, than all the years I’ve been shooting portraits or fashion. And I guess this is one of the reasons I keep doing it.

Sure, fashion teaches you a lot about clothing, accessories, beauty products and so on… but on a deeper level… being able to enter the world of women’s vulnerability and raw beauty, has shown me a totally different universe.

But sometimes, you just need to let things cool down for a while. That’s what I did with the “Musings" series. But then, you meet certain people and you know it’s time to get back at it.

That’s what happened when I met Margarida. A beautiful and smart girl, willing to challenge her own self confidence by posing without any clothes, in front of stranger.

And, for the first time in this series, you can see her face. If you read this previous post, you know why I have kept the women's identity private, but Margarida was very happy with the results and she’s so proud of the woman she is, that she has no issues with people recognising her.

Does this mean you’ll be seeing more faces in this series in the future? I don’t know. Privacy is something I totally respect and understand, so, it will be up to the next “Musings” guest to decide :)

I guess the bottom line of this post, is that is good to know that there are still women out there, who are able to proudly assume themselves as they are, no matter what other people might think or say.

Graças às redes sociais, é relativamente fácil encontrar mulheres/modelos que estejam interessadas em fotografar, mas encontrar pessoas que compreendam o propósito desta série ou que tenham uma visão parecida sobre a beleza e o corpo feminino, já é outra conversa.

Sinto que desde que comecei a fotografar esta série, já aprendi mais sobre o universo feminino, do que durante os anos que tenho fotografado moda e retratos. E acho que essa é parte da razão porque continuo a fazê-lo.

Claro que o mundo da moda nos ensina coisas sobre roupa, acessórios, produtos de beleza, etc... mas a um nível mais profundo... ter a possibilidade de entrar no mundo da vulnerabilidade feminina e da sua beleza nua e crua, mostrou-me todo um novo universo.

Mas às vezes, é preciso deixar as coisas arrefecer. E foi isso que fiz com esta série "Musings". Mas depois, quando me cruzo com certas pessoas, sei que é altura de voltar a ela.

Foi o que aconteceu com a Margarida. Uma rapariga linda e inteligente, disponível para desafiar a sua auto confiança, ao pousar sem roupa, em frente a um estranho.

E pela primeira vez nesta série, fizemos várias fotografias onde a cara dela está visível. Quem leu este post que escrevi há uns meses, já sabe porque é que tenho mantido privada a identidade das mulheres fotografadas. Mas a Margarida ficou muito satisfeita com o resultado e ela tem um orgulho notável em ser a mulher que é, que não está propriamente preocupada com o facto de a poderem reconhecer.

Quer isto dizer que vão passar a ver mais caras, em futuras sessões desta série? Não sei. Respeito e compreendo perfeitamente a privacidade de cada pessoa, por isso, essa é uma decisão que ficará do lado da próxima convidada desta desta série :)

Resumindo, acho que este post serve essencialmente para dizer que é bom saber que existem mulheres que orgulhosamente se assumem como são e o que gostam de fazer, independentemente do que outras pessoas possam pensar ou dizer.
