About subtleties
This is a post about subtleties, about a girl and her subtleties…
I first noticed Carina on Instagram. There was something in her photos that caught my attention. Don’t ask me to elaborate much more on that, because I don’t really know what else to say. But while we were shooting and later on while I was going through the photos and choosing the ones to keep, I realised what was it about her that lured me in… it was all in the simplicity and unpretentiousness of her movements and in her own gentle character.
That was it. As simple as it gets and at the same time, so difficult to put into words.
I guess that’s why there are poets, the ones who know how to put into words the beauty of the world. That’s not my case, so, I’ll just stick to the images, my own portraits of beauty.

Este é um post sobre subtilezas, sobre uma rapariga e as suas subtilezas...
A primeira vez que reparei na Carina, foi através do Instagram. Houve qualquer coisa nas fotografias dela, que me chamaram a atenção. Não me peçam para detalhar melhor, porque na verdade, não sei explicar melhor. Mas enquanto a estava a fotografar e mais tarde quando estava a fazer a triagem das fotografias finais, apercebi-me finalmente do que é que me atraiu na imagem dela... foi o despretensiosismo e a naturalidade dos movimentos.
Foi isso. Tão básico e tão simples, e ao mesmo tempo, tão difícil de colocar em palavras.
Suponho que seja por isso que existem os poetas. Pessoas que, de facto, têm a capacidade de expressar através das palavras, a beleza que há no mundo. No meu caso, é melhor ficar-me pelos seus retratos.
