The island vibe
Rosa has been enjoying one of the best perks of being a model: travelling! After a season in Bali, she’s now back in Europe, having stopped in Portugal for a couple weeks. During her few days in Lisbon, we managed to get together for a quick shoot.
But the most curious thing about this Dutch beauty, was her “island vibe”. We talked about this during the shooting, but I’m not sure I could put in the right words (and I’m still not sure I can). Rosa was born and lived most of her life in the Netherlands, but this recent season in Bali kind of changed her vibe. Rosa acknowledged that herself. Neither her and certainly not me, could tell exactly what it was that changed, that’s why I just called it the “island vibe”. A certain coolness, a certain detachment and surely, a relaxed approach to life, resulted in this exotic-vibe-mix that I got from her.
After this short stopping in Portugal, she’s now back in the Amsterdam. After that, the future is still uncertain, as it is for all of us. But if I had to guess, I would say that her next destination will certainly be somewhere close to the sea. The gleam of those eyes, when she spoke about the beach and the sea, revealed a lot about it is that makes her tick 😃

A Rosa tem estado a aproveitar aquilo que é provavelmente a melhor parte de ser modelo: viajar! Depois de uma temporada em Bali, está de volta à Europa, tendo parado em Portugal por alguns dias. Durante os pouco dias que esteve em Lisboa, conseguimos encontrar-nos para um shoot rápido.
Mas o que mais me despertou a curiosidade nesta beleza Holandesa, foi o “island vibe” dela (desculpem, mas isto traduzido não faz qualquer sentido). Falámos disso durante o nosso shooting, mas acho que não nos conseguimos expressar correctamente (e ao escrever isto, continuo a ter as minhas dúvidas…). A Rosa nasceu e viveu grande parte da vida dela na Holanda, mas esta recente temporada em Bali, mudou-a. Ela própria tem noção disso. Mas nem ela, e muito menos eu, conseguimos concluir exactamente o que foi que mudou, por isso é que resolvi chamar-lhe a “island vibe”. Uma certa coolness, um certo desprendimento, a forma relaxada com que encara as coisas, resultam assim numa espécie de mix exótico, ou pelo menos, isso foi o que eu senti.
Depois desta curta paragem em Portugal, ela está de volta a Amsterdão. Depois disso, o futuro é incerto, como é para todos. Mas se tivesse que adivinhar, diria que o próximo destino dela, será perto do mar. O brilho nos olhos dela e a forma como falava da praia e do mar, revelaram muito sobre aquilo que a faz vibrar :)
